Have You, Or Are You Getting Vaccinated? What Are The Advantages Of The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine?

More than 500,000 Americans have died from COVID-19, which is more than any other country in the world. That is half a million people in the United States that have died from a disease that could easily been prevented from spreading its devastation so thoroughly and completely had the Trump Administration be interested in governing more than furthering the agenda of the far right.

Now that Biden is in office we are hungry for some action that will get us closer to ending this pandemic that seems not to ever want to end. One of our best solutions to ending the spread of the COVID-19 strain of coronavirus that has led to so many horrendous deaths has been vaccinating Americans and so far around 32 million people have been vaccinated. The Biden Administration has reportedly bought 100 more doses of a vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson. That’s enough of the vaccine to increase the number of Americans vaccinated dramatically.

It Only Requires One Dose

The COVID-19 vaccine by Johnson &Johnson has received a lot of attention by the media and there are some reasons why. This particular vaccine has a couple of advantages; one being it only requires one dose. So potentially, 100 million more Americans can be vaccinated soon, if the vaccine from Johnson & Johnson is administered correctly, which will complete President Biden’s goal to do just that within 100 days of him being in office.

There Is A Push To Produce More Of The Vaccine

In this current month of March, two pharmaceutical companies teamed up with Johnson & Johnson to make more of the vaccine due to its increasing demand. This vaccine has gotten emergency use authorization from the FDA. The vaccine has an efficacy rate of 66 percent within four weeks of vaccination which can help curb the cased of infection

Once the death rate and rate of new infections go down we will see a return to some sort of normalcy but I doubt things will never be the same after all the death and destruction the Novel coronavirus as brought these last few months.

Until most Americans are immune to the disease that COVID-19 brings, we should continue to use precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. Continue to socially distance and limit the amount of people you gather with outside of household members as much as possible. Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer when available. Do not touch your eyes, mouth and face if possible and wash your hands frequently. Also wear masks in public places and in confined places if necessary.

I will be so glad when this pandemic is over. Are you vaccinated from the COVID-19 VIRUS? Do you plan on getting vaccinated? Will it be with the single dose, Johnson &Johnson vaccine or one of the double dose varieties?

  1. Sorry anyhow, had my first dose and I am so happy. I would have taken anything and I was so lucky to try to get into the drugstores computer system and signed up on my 2nd try. It was only 10 minutes from my house too.

      1. Thank you they are struggling here too I just happen to sign into their site right after they opened the appointments. I signed up at another place 2 months ago and still haven’t heard from them. Now somebody else can take that one. Have a great weekend.
